Un petit tutoriel en anglais réalisé par mon copain Frederic St Arnaud pour 3DTotal. Il nous détaille pas a pas les différentes étapes de fabrication d’une très jolie image futuriste qui s’est d’ailleurs retrouvée en couverture du livre D’Artist Matte Painting 2. J’avais quelques images dans ce volume, et je suis bien content d’avoir reçu un exemplaire de Gnomon Publishing, avec le Matte Painting de Fred !

Hi Swoop, what a great idea for a blog, that ILM video is one of my favourites, I actually saw a Mike Pangrazio mattepainting close up, I was amazed at the impressionistic values and tones, and the way the paint was pushed into textures,.
That was the point I knew that one day I would work at ILM, on the first step, but I will do it one day.

The one of the Millennium Falcon in the station on Hoth, There was a Star Wars Exhibition that visited London, my sister took me as a surprise!
I was suddenly six years old again, it was heaven.
