S’il y a un nom que vous devez retenir lorsque l’on parle de Matte Painting, c’est sans aucun doute celui d’Albert Whitlock. Whitlock a été, et restera vraisemblablement un des plus grands matte painter de l’Histoire, si ce n’est LE plus grand. Et c’est avec un grand plaisir que je continuerai à partager avec vous ses chefs d’oeuvres.
Aujourd’hui, c’est sur l’incroyable blog de NZ Pete, Matte Shot, que j’ai trouvé ce magnifique matte painting réalisé par Whitlock pour le film History of the World.

Here is a really nice video of Albert Whitlock Matte-Painting showing some of his work. I’m a huge fan of traditional Matte Painting. It’s always really impressive to see people creating photo realistic environment on a glass.
